The bflow* Hive - Adding Functionality to Eclipse-based Modelling Tools
نویسندگان
چکیده
The bflow* Hive is a collection of Eclipse plug-ins that can be integrated into various Eclipse-based modeling tools. It adds several features that are useful in particular for model analysis and model exchange. Most of these features put the principle of end user-programming into practice: Modeling tool users can add their own add-ons at runtime without having to re-compile the original modeling tool. We hope that this will be useful in particular for researchers. They can extend a modeling tool with own model analysis features without having to touch the sources of the modeling tool.

Adding Functionality to openOME for Everyone
Adding new functionality to graphical editors like openOME usually requires to become familiar with the programming environment of the underlying framework. We present an interface for Eclipse EMF/GMF-based modelling tools that allows to add new functionality very quickly without the need to be familiar with Eclipse development.
متن کاملGeneration Of EPC Based Simulation Models
Bflow is an Eclipse plugin for modeling business processes in event driven process chain (EPC) notation. A code generator and its integration into Bflow to build a DesmoJ simulation model is presented. Possibilities to extend the generated models are also presented.
متن کاملbflow* Toolbox - an Open-Source Business Process Modelling Tool
The bflow* Toolbox is a modeling tool for the business process modeling language Event Driven Process Chains (EPCs). In this paper, we describe three innovative features of the modeling tool: First, the modeler gets continuously feedback about possible modeling problems. Second, there is an option to construct a large part of a model with input from the keyboard only, i.e. without ever touching...
متن کاملLetting EMF Tools Talk to Fujaba through Adapters
Many software modelling tools are built on top of the Eclipse Modeling Framework (EMF) through which they can communicate and exchange models. In contrast to that, the Fujaba Toolsuite defines its own modelling framework. Both frameworks are built on the same concepts of software modelling. Therefore, they can be adapted. This paper presents an implementation of a generic adapter layer that ada...
متن کاملImplementing the Unifying Meta-model for Enterprise Modeling and Model-Driven Development: An Experience Report
Model-Driven Development (MDD) is becoming increasingly popular as a choice for developing information systems. Tools that support the principles of MDD are also growing in number and variety of available functionality. MetaEdit+ is a meta-modeling tool used for developing Domain Specific Languages and is identified as an MDD tool. The Eclipse Modeling Framework (EMF) and Graphical Modeling Pro...
